The municipality of San Pedro Garza García, through the Secretariat of Public Services and City Maintenance, has initiated a census for the modernization of the city's lighting. Miguel Ávila, head of the municipal department, pointed out that the operation began on Avenida Gómez Morín to identify the amount of obsolete equipment and proceed with its replacement.
In Ávila's words, "we are located at the height of La Diana, on the exit from the municipality of San Pedro towards Monterrey. This activity will continue until the recount of all obsolete lights is completed. A few days ago, I mentioned that we were making changes from obsolete lights to modern ones in this first stage and in this stretch."
Ricardo Sandoval, director of Electrical Infrastructure, explained that once the census is completed, it will be determined how many lights will be replaced with LED lights. "With this census, we are beginning to identify those lamps that need to be changed," the official said.
To minimize the impact on traffic, the Secretariat of Public Services and City Maintenance will carry out the repairs and modernization of the public lighting during the night.
